Chauncey Billups to Interview for Atlanta Hawks GM Position

It’s being reported that current NBA analyst and NBA Champion & Finals MVP, Chauncey Billups, will be interviewing for the vacant Atlanta Hawks General Manager position and I for one am extremely happy for him. Even if he doesn’t get the position, it’s just great for him to even have the opportunity to put his name in GM pool for teams to recognize him. It’s good for the aspiring black GM and former athlete. We can do more than coach, we can construct and build teams as well! Best wishes to Billups on his journey. 

Remember he was one those journeyman players that caught fire in Detroit and carved his own niche by becoming “Big Shot Billups,” here’s to another big shot!

Jeff Teague traded to Pacers

Today the Indiana Pacers acquired Atlanta Hawks guard Jeff Teague via a 3 team trade that will send George Hill to Utah and the Hawks will receive the 12th pick in tomorrow’s draft. Teague has spent his entire career with Hawks and is heading into the final year of his contract. I think this will benefit all teams involved, the Hawks will get a lottery pick for their top player and the Pacers get added offense from the PG position, while the Jazz get a veteran player that has proven he can play in this league.
