The Florida Gators have decided to fire coach Jim McElwain, with cause, after the school was unable to find cause about his claims of receiving death threats. McElwain has led the Gators to a record of 3-4 (SEC 3-3) and just lost 42-7 to Georgia. The Florida offense has been trash for the past couple of seasons and that’s what McElwain was suppose to be known for, but since returning to Florida as the head guy in charge, he can’t seem to find a quarterback. The team was winning but it’s the way they were winning, UGLY, every game, and to be 3-4 and looking as bad as they’ve looked at times, is just unacceptable at Florida. It is being reported that former University of Miami coach Randy Shannon, will be asked to take over the rest of the season on an interim basis.
