Joe Girardi will not be retained as the manager of the New York Yankees. He finishes his tenure with the Yanks, with a record of 910 wins and 710 loses. The Illinois native managed his former team to a World Series title in only his 2nd season at the helm. But his time with the “Bronx Bombers,’ has been full of ups and downs. The A-Rod lies and scandal, CC Sabathia’s fight with alcoholism, which thankfully he was aware he needed help and CC went out to get the proper assistance that is needed, but above all the franchise’s biggest issue is that it was too inconsistent. The Yankees only won the division 3 of Girardi’s 10 seasons and haven’t been 1st in the division since 2012. ¬†Undoubtedly next season could most definitely be a sign of things to come but in baseball you never know in baseball.
