The Halls Tigers basketball team was in action Tuesday night against district rival, Gibson County. The Tigers would take an early lead but as the game continued and a few iffy foul calls, Gibson County would tie the game and also take 2 point lead midway through the 4th quarter. After playing some tough defense and causing a couple of big turnovers, the Tigers took a 57-55 lead late in the 4th quarter after Tavon King scored his final 2 points of his game-high 30 points.
Even though it’s early in the high school basketball the atmosphere felt like it was a district tournament game. With Tavon King in Halls, TN and Chad Culbreath in Ripley, TN, they’re putting the state on notice that there are some big time players in Lauderdale county Tennessee.
